Bespoke Protection · Engineered for Your Mission

Your equipment. Our case.
Built to fit.

Every custom project at Panaro goes through the same engineering process as our series-production cases — but tuned to a single task: yours. From a one-off foam insert to a private-label fleet, we engineer the case around the gear it is meant to protect.

What we can customize Six services, one engineering pipeline — combine them as needed.

Custom Foam Inserts

CNC-milled from your CAD data or a physical sample, cut to millimetre precision out of multi-layer foam. Each cut-out holds your equipment exactly in place — no movement, no impact transfer.

Pick-and-Pluck Foam

Pre-cut grid foam that you configure yourself in minutes — no tools required. Ideal for mixed payloads, prototype fleets or field teams that regularly reconfigure their kit.

Laser-Engraved Branding

Logos, asset tags, serial numbers or regulatory markings engraved directly into the case shell. Permanent, tamper-proof and does not compromise the IP67 seal.

Custom Colors & Finishes

Any RAL colour, corporate shade or signal-visibility finish. From a single production batch onward — perfect for fleet identification, corporate design or tactical concealment.

Hardware & Fittings

Wheels, telescopic handles, pressure-relief valves, padlock-compatible latches, TSA-approved locks or RFID-sealed closures. Specify exactly what the mission requires.

Kitting & OEM

Pre-configured kits with your equipment packed and sealed inside. Or full private-label production: your brand on the case, our engineering inside. End-to-end, from Bologna to your loading bay.

Panaro engineering workshop — CNC milling of a custom foam insert
From brief to batch

Four clear steps. One accountable team.

  1. 01

    Brief

Send us your equipment dimensions, the quantity and the time window. Photos, CAD files or a physical sample — whatever you have, that is where we start.

  2. 02

    Engineering

Our engineers turn the brief into a 3D model, select the right case size and foam density, and produce a digital mock-up for review.

  3. 03

    Sample & Approval

A physical prototype ships within 1–2 weeks. You test it with the real equipment and sign off — only then do we go to production.

  4. 04

    Production

Series production in Bologna, typically within 4–6 weeks from sign-off. Each unit passes the same quality checks as our standard catalogue cases.

Industries we serve Panaro custom cases are in service across every sector where equipment has to survive.

Defence & Law Enforcement

Deployable kit, weapons-transport, tactical communications.

Broadcast & Film

Camera bodies, lenses, lighting, audio — on tour and on set.

Medical & EMS

Portable diagnostics, field hospitals, ambulance modules.

Industrial & HazMat

UN 4H2-certified transport of hazardous goods and samples.

Aerospace & Drones

UAVs, batteries, payloads, ground-station equipment.

Expedition & Research

Field instruments, samples, expedition logistics.

Frequently Asked Questions Answers about lead times, minimums and the custom engineering process.

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom project?

Our minimum order quantity (MOQ) starts at 4 units for custom foam inserts and smaller personalisation jobs. For fully custom colours, branding or private-label runs we can still quote small series — larger volumes naturally unlock more favourable pricing.

How long does the process take from brief to delivery?

A physical prototype typically ships within 1–2 weeks of the brief being finalised. After you approve the sample, series production runs in 4–6 weeks, depending on quantity and specification. Complex projects (custom moulds, OEM programmes) are quoted with their own timeline.

Can you match our corporate colour or RAL code?

Yes. We produce cases in any RAL code or custom colour reference from a single production batch onward. Send us the RAL number, a Pantone reference or a physical colour sample and we match it at the raw-material stage — the colour is in the polymer, not painted on.

Do custom cases still carry the IP67 and MIL STD certifications?

Yes. Because customisation happens inside the case (foam, branding, hardware) and the shell itself is built on the same certified MAX platform, the underlying certifications — IP67, MIL STD 810H, ATA 300 and UN 4H2 where applicable — carry over to the custom unit. For laser-engraving we specifically control depth so the IP67 seal remains intact.

Do I need to send my equipment to you for the fitting?

Not necessarily. If you can supply CAD files, technical drawings or accurate dimensions, we can engineer the foam insert entirely from the data. For irregularly shaped equipment or high-precision applications, sending a physical sample (or a 3D-printed proxy) produces the best result.

Can you handle full kitting and private-label (OEM) production?

Yes. We regularly run OEM programmes where the case is branded, packaged and shipped under the customer's own label, and full kitting programmes where your equipment is packed into the case at our facility before dispatch. Contact us for a full production brief — we will scope the logistics, labelling and documentation together with you.
